This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit www.maiyaibrahim.com (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. When you visit the Site, we may obtain certain personal information (such as your name and other contact details) when you choose to provide it to us.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we add your name and email address to Maiya Ibrahim’s newsletter mailing list, which is managed via Mailchimp. Note that Mailchimp may transfer personal data outside the EU. Please contact Mailchimp with questions or concerns about this.

If you contact us via the contact form or email, your name, email address and message will be accessible to Maiya Ibrahim and a small team of support staff.

When you visit the Site, we also automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. Your personal information is never shared externally or used for purposes other than the above, except to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Every effort has been made to ensure a safe and secure form to email submission process but advise users using such form to email processes that they do so at their own risk.

HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THE NEWSLETTER

Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link in its footer.

When you unsubscribe from a newsletter managed via Mailchimp, your details remain on the list of past recipients. However, if you are still a subscriber when you contact us, your details can be permanently removed from the list on request. Please contact us if you would like this to happen.

YOUR RIGHTS

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

RETENTION PERIODS

We retain your Personal Information until such a time as you unsubscribe or ask us to remove your details or when your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained.
